"Are the images free to use?" We are not aware of any copyright issues with regards to the individual images on this site. We cannot give you permission to reproduce the images as we do not hold the copyright. If you would like to commercially reproduce the images on this site, we recommend that you consult a copyright attorney. The site as whole is copyrighted by The Texas Record Project. We, however, claim no copyright on the individual images in the collections. |

"Can I deduct a donation from my income taxes?" No, we are not a tax deductible entity. To become tax deductible requires a tremendous amount of paperwork. We may file to become tax deductible in the future. Check our website for updates. |
Our photographs are optimized to work best with Epson Photo Printers. | |
"What software do I need to print the high-resolution JPEG images?" We recommend Adobe Photoshop/LE or QFX/LE to print the images. Other imaging software will work. If you are unsure about opening and printing JPEG files with your imaging software, consult the help file or manual. |

"Why do the images take so long to download?" In most cases, the images are at a sufficient quality level to be reproduced at their originals size at 300dpi. Most images are between 800k and 1.5Mb and should not take more than a few minutes on a 56k modem. |

"I printed an image and it did not look good. What's wrong?" Our photographs are optimized to print to an Epson Photo Printer on Epson Photo Quality Paper. For best results, use the default settings and print either a Grayscale or RGB image. |

"Can you print images and send them to me?" Yes, we do print images. Please visit our online store for details. |

"Where can I find information about inkjet archival permanence?" A great source that has done extensive testing is Wilhelm Imaging Research, Inc. |

"Can I take pictures with my digital camera and send them to you?" Probably not. Please read our submissions page, and submission guidelines for the proper submission procedure. |

"What equipment do you use to record the images?" We use Scitex Leaf digital camera backs to record the images. The setup includes a Sinar P2 view camera with a Leaf digital camera back, a Macintosh G3 computer, and professional strobes. A complete setup costs around $50k. |
